This is the 19th year of The Shepherds Walk.
Cost is $15.00 per person which includes bus fare and lunch.
Agenda for the day:
8:30am sharp Bus departs from Bdt Museum, 54 Brisbane St, Beaudesert
The Shepherds Walk begins at the Beaudesert Historical Museum when everyone who is walking will board a bus which will head out to Christmas Creek to the monument. All will be told the story of the Shepherds Walk. Because the buses will not be able to go over the Hillview Range, they will return to Beaudesert and then out to Kerry Washpool, where the Walk will start. It goes to the top of the Jinbroken Range and back to the Washpool for lunch of sausage sizzle, toast and damper.
This annual event is organised by the Beaudesert Historical Society.

The Drumley Walk |

The Drumley Walk is an annual 3 day walking pilgrimage from Beaudesert to Southport. It follows the footsteps of Beaudesert identity Billy Drumley who regularly completed the journey during the early 1900's to visit his sister Jenny Graham who lived at Southport with her many children & grandchildren. Although he passed away more than 50 year ago, Billy Drumley is remembered with great admiration throughout the region. His community still regard him as a local hero. "The Drumley Walk" is done to keep the stories of his life and times alive.

Everyone can take part in the challenge from beginner through to the competitive rider. The aim is to complete as many laps in a 6 hour period as you can either as a solo rider or in a team of friends or work-mates. You can do one lap then change over to your next rider or do several before changing over to your next rider. It is up to you and your team. You can go as hard and fast as you like or take it at a slow relaxed pace and stop and start as often as you like. It’s all up to you.
