Churches
Many of Beaudesert Shires beautiful churches, in rural or town settings, are a perfect place for a secluded wedding...
St Marys Church in Bromelton Street, Beaudesert, is one of the largest timber churches in Australia. An estimated 800 people were present for its opening in 1907. A beautiful example of Gothic architecture with stained glass windows, the church is set on the grounds of the St Marys Primary School.
Tamrookums All saints Church is set on a hilltop half-way between Beaudesert and Rathdowney. Based on Welsh church architecture and adapted to the Australian climate, All Saints is said to be the most beautiful building of its kind in Queensland.
St Johns Church in Mundoolun was built in Norman Gothic style from sandstone quarried on the property, and the interior features local cedar. The church was dedicated in 1901 to the Collins family who settled the area in 1844.
