Sauvignon Blanc - a light to medium bodied, crisp and refreshing white wine with notable acidity. It offers a wide range of flavours from herb-like sensations to vegetables, grass and hay. These earthy flavours mix with citrus and tropical fruits to offer a very unique wine tasting adventure. It is great with seafood, pastas, curries, salsas, spicy sausages, vegetable dishes, lunch salads, olive oil based dishes, tomato sauces and goat's cheese.
Riesling - aromas lean towards the fruity side with apple, peach and pear mixed with delicate floral undertones. Rieslings are semi-sweet to off-dry and go well with appetisers and desserts, salads, pork, poultry or fish. They can also handle the spice and zest of Asian dishes.
Semillon - a medium bodied dry white with tropical fruit and grassy flavours. It goes well with grilled fish and foods with creamy sauces such as pastas and is best consumed when young. It's also great with antipasto and Asian seafood dishes.
Chardonnays - boasts an impressive range of flavours from the expected buttered, oak overtones to the fresh fruit flavours of apple, pear, citrus and melon, leaving a lasting impression on your palate. Chardonnay pairs with poultry well, veal, pork, seafood or recipes with a heavy cream base.
Verdelho - a medium bodied dry white infused with flavours of citrus, grass and herbs. Its a great wine to serve with seafood, grilled fish, chicken, pork, fruit platters and Italian pastas with cream based sauces. The spicy styles go well with pesto and roasted vegetables whereas the sweeter styles work well with Asian influenced dishes.
Merlots - a smooth red wine boasting a range of fresh flavours such as plums, cherries, blueberries and blackberries mixed with black pepper tones. The tannin levels are fairly low - making this a great wine for those just "getting into" red wines. Merlot is great with beef, lamb, pork, duck, game meats, cheeses, stews, pizza and hearty pastas.
Cabernet Sauvignons - excellent with red meats like beef, lamb, pork or duck. Its also great with hearty pastas, strong-flavoured cheese, and chocolates. You can drink a medium-bodied or full-bodied wine.
Shiraz - typically ripe and smooth, with a fuller body and the rich round flavours of black cherry, blackberry, plum, bell pepper, black pepper, clove, licorice, dark chocolate and smoked meat. Shiraz is great for rich, spicy meals, grilled meats or vegies, wild game, richly flavoured red meats, beef stew and meat lovers pizza. Sparkling Shiraz goes well with pastries and puddings..
Pinto Noir - a medium to light bodied dry wine with flavours reminiscent of sweet red berries, plums, tomatoes, cherries and even an earthy wood-like flavour, depending on different growing conditions. Its the perfect wine for poultry, beef, fish, ham, lamb and pork. It's also great with creamy sauces, spicy seasonings and semi-soft cheeses.
